This is not a generic off-road course. Before you arrive, we review your specific vehicle’s drivetrain, electronics, and systems, and the training is built around how your vehicle actually behaves off-road.
Whether you are new to off-road driving or transitioning into a modern, high-value 4x4, this program provides a correct foundation for safe, controlled, and responsible off-road driving.
Course Objectives
The objective of this program is to give drivers repeatable control systems, not just techniques.
By the end of the training, participants will have:

Practical Sessions
Hands-on experience is a critical component of our training. Participants will spend time on our purpose-built 4x4 training obstacle course, where they can practice and refine their skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Our obstacle course is designed to simulate real-world off-road conditions, providing a challenging yet safe environment for learning.
Course Duration and Location
Ecotrek 4x4 | Controlled Off-Road Driver Systems is a full-day event, typically lasting around 8 hours. Training takes place at our dedicated facility in the Garden Route area, featuring a 50m x 160m obstacle course tailored for beginner to intermediate drivers.
Certification and Next Steps
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, recognizing their newly acquired skills. Graduates of the basic course are encouraged to continue their 4x4 education with our Ecotrek 4x4 | Advanced Off-Road Driver & Sand Systems, focusing on more complex terrains and scenarios.
